Hey all,
Just checking in from Tononto, ON to give you all an update about the tour so far..
Every single show has been tremendous for us so far, and so much fun. Thanks for all the comments and sharing the reviews from your towns.
Florida started off the tour, we haven't been there in 2 years, but what insane crowds you guys were. We got warmed up really quick after those shows, and its still bikini weather thereso showing up in those was much appreciated!!
We have been trying out a lot of the new songs from "Slick Dogs and Ponies" and getting them ready for our headlining tour which starts in Marchby then we should have a lot of the songs worked out and get to play longer than a 45 min set.
We worked our way through Nashville, Atlanta (where there were about 40 people outside our bus in the cold that we partied with), and the east coast the weather started getting colder, but the crowds and the afterparties have been amazing.
Seeing Natalie Portman in NYC watching the show was quite a treat.so beautiful!!!
Even though it was pouring rain we still managed to tape Conan OBrien (we played Air Traffic Control), rush across town and make it only 7 mins late to our set at Terminal 5.
Boston was a great show too and we have a lot of great friends there, but the crowd was riddled with Patriot hats and Jerseys, they must have known we were from San Diego..good game I guess.there is always next year.
We just hit Canada and played my one of my favorite cities Montreal! Its gorgeous and I love that it feels like France there, because nobody speaks English, even the menus are in French.its wonderful. The venue was packed and even though I was sick as hellits probably one of my favorite shows so far.
Now, a couple of us unfortunately came down with an illness that left us in the bunks that night, so I didn't even get to see this amazing city the way I wanted to this time.
We've had a good day off and rest here yesterday in Toronto, and tonight we are ready to kick ass for everyone at the Koolhausa mixture of old and new songs we hope you all enjoy.
I just looked out the window of my hotel room and its snowing pretty hardI hope our Vans and Converse hold up!!
